This year's company overseas trip was to Perth, Australia. The lucky travellers enjoyed the country's best beaches, busy markets, outdoor dining, and of course, amazing marine adventures.
Corporate Social Responsibility
As a corporate citizen, Mitrajaya is committed to uphold its Corporate Social Responsibility. Over the years, we have been continuously making contributions and sponsorships to various charitable and social organisation events.
Through the auspices of our Sports Club, Mitrajaya has engaged civil society in a number of tangible ways - visits to orphanages, homes for the elderly and disabled.
The Sports Club also promotes the culture of 'Work Smart, Play Hard' amongst for our staff by organising sport activities, excursion trips and family day carnivals amongst others. The Club remains a good conduit to enhance the well-being of our employees and fostering a strong team spirit.
Our employees enjoyed an adrenaline-filled adventure as they rode through the jungle at with ATVs!
White Water Rafting Trip
Fully sponsored by the Sports Club, the staff had an exhilarating adventure during the White Water Rafting Trip to Kuala Kubu Bharu.
This year's company paid trip was to the heavenly tropical paradise of Redang Island. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, our employees enjoyed a much needed break. It was fun under the sun!
Mitrajaya's 30th Celebration Luncheon
Mitrajaya's 30th anniversary celebrations continued with an informal buffet lunch held at Mitrajaya's headquarters. At the event, the balance of the Long Service Awards recipients were acknowledge during the awards presentation ceremony. The employees were also treated with an exciting lucky draw.
Mitrajaya's 30th Celebration Dinner
Mitrajaya celebrated its 30 years of nation building together with valued clients, business partners and employees at Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur with a gala dinner themed "Glitz & Glamour". Mr. Tan Eng Piow the Group Managing Director of Mitrajaya beamed with pride and joy when he presented the Long Service Awards to 30 out of 123 employees who have served the corporation between 10 to 30 years. The main entertainment of the night was provided by Harith Iskandar, the Godfather of Malaysian stand-up comedy. In conjunction with the 30 years of growth, Mitrajaya also donated RM 30,000 each to two charitable organisations namely, Hospis Malaysia and National Kidney Foundation (NKF).
Mitrajaya Bowling Tournament 2015
Mitrajaya's Bowling Tournament was held at the Ampang Super Bowl, IOI Mall Puchong. The event was successful and it received excellent response as a total of 110 staff from various subsidiaries participated in the event.
Mitrajaya Paintball Tournament 2015
Held at the Werdna Hol Sportz in Bandar Bukit Puchong, a total of 12 teams battled it out in an intense tournament in pursuit of glory. The top 3 teams were awarded with cash prizes, trophies and bragging rights.
Team Building at Tanah Aina, Pahang
Close to 200 employees including senior management participated in the 2 days 1 night Team Building event entitled "Building The Future". The programme conducted was a combination of indoor & outdoor sessions, games, video presentation, group & individual challenges. The highlight of the event was the Leap of Faith activity whereby participants jungle trekked to a waterfall. Upon arrival, they were required to jump off a 17 ft high platform which tested their willingness to break the barrier and overcoming their fears.
Buka Puasa with Orphans
During the Holy Month of Ramadan, Mitrajaya gave back to the local community by organising a breaking fast event with over 100 orphans at Rumah Amal Limpahan Kasih, a neighbouring orphanage. The orphans were also treated to 'Duit Raya' packets. In total, Mitrajaya contributed 50 man hours of community service and more than RM 7,000 worth of donations.
Mitrajaya Futsal Tournament 2015
In line with the Sports Club motto of 'Work Smart, Play Hard', the Tournament was organised to encourage positive interaction and cooperation amongst employees. In winning, confidence is gained. In defeat, lessons are learnt. In working together, friendships are developed. For the first time in years, the women's futsal teams are back!
Mitrajaya Badminton Tournament 2015
The staff had a chance to show off their athletic skills and stamina in the Badminton Tournament organised by Mitrajaya. Over 35 staff participated in the high adrenaline matches.
Mount Irau Climb
The annual company hiking trip for 2015 was to Mount Irau at Cameron Highlands. It was a gruelling hike but it was worth it as the participants were rewarded with beautiful landscapes of the lush Mossy Forest. 30 successfully conquered the peak!
Blood Donation Drive
Mitrajaya extended its responsibility via donating blood to the blood bank to help patients in the country. Mitrajaya has collected more than 113 pints of blood from the staff via a collaboration programme with Pusat Darah Negara since 2013. This meaningful programme will be an annual event in our CSR calendar.
Mitrajaya Grand Prix 2015
Mitrajaya's inaugural Go Kart Competition as part of our 30th Anniversary Celebrations, where 29 participants from Mitrajaya Group raced against each other to be crowned champion.
Mitrajaya Idol Competition
It was time for the staff to show off their vocal skills at the karaoke competition organised by the company.
Visit to Old Folks Home
Mr. Foo Chek Lee, Executive Director of Mitrajaya Holdings Berhad, and the staff brought festive cheer to the senior citizens at Rumah Sejahtera Orang Tua Seri Kembangan, Selangor when they visited during Chinese New Year. Mitrajaya donated daily consumptions and electronic items to facilitate the old folks home's operation.
2015 Chinese New Year Luncheon
To usher in the Year of the Goat, the staff were treated to an acrobatic Lion Dance performance followed by a buffet lunch spread in conjunction with the Chinese New Year Celebrations. This CNY Luncheon is an annual event organised by The Sports Club.
Food Distribution to the Homeless
Working together with Reach Out Malaysia, Mitrajaya contributed 200 packs of food and 400 bags consisting of basic necessities and distributed it to the homeless community in Kuala Lumpur. The staff organised the food packing session which took place in the office. The following night, a total of 17 staff participated to transport and distribute the items at various locations downtown Kuala Lumpur.
