Corporate Social Responsibility

As a corporate citizen, Mitrajaya is committed to uphold its Corporate Social Responsibility. Over the years, we have been continuously making contributions and sponsorships to various charitable and social organisation events.

Through the auspices of our Sports Club, Mitrajaya has engaged civil society in a number of tangible ways - visits to orphanages, homes for the elderly and disabled.

The Sports Club also promotes the culture of 'Work Smart, Play Hard' amongst for our staff by organising sport activities, excursion trips and family day carnivals amongst others. The Club remains a good conduit to enhance the well-being of our employees and fostering a strong team spirit.

Serving the Community

Mitrajaya continuously participates in several CSR programmes for the community this year. What's more, Mitrajaya held a social visit to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Warga Emas Kenang Budi Kuala Lumpur and donated RM 2,500 to the Centre, better known as "AiYiDe" to provide financial assistance and support.

Donation to Welfare Centre for the Elderly

Vulnerable groups have been most affected by the Movement Control Order (MCO) during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially charitable organisations housing the elderly with the group being most at risk and lacking the necessary means to access essential supplies due to shortages.

To lend a hand to lighten their load, Mitrajaya provided a RM 2,000 cash donation to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Warga Emas Kenang Budi Kuala Lumpur or more known as “AiYiDe”. Located in Petaling Jaya, this non-profit organisation independently operates as a Welfare Centre for the elderly and it is currently providing shelter for 15 senior residents. We hope that this small contribution can bring some relief and aid to disadvantage communities during these trying times.

Contribution to #MyBaikHati Campaign

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in Malaysians, living and working from home, where technology played an important role in keeping us connected for work, school and leisure. Unfortunately, not all Malaysians have access or can afford a device. The #MyBaikHati initiative is facilitated by the telecommunications industry with the objective of crowdsourcing pre-loved laptops, tablets and smartphones from members of the public for the purpose of refurbishing and redistributing the devices to B40 families who need them. Mitrajaya contributed to #MyBaikHati campaign by donating 25 units of usable smartphones to help fellow Malaysians who are in need to get through these challenging times. As a token of appreciation, Mitrajaya was presented with 25 sets of reusable metal straws and a set of umbrellas by TMpoint Cyberjaya.

Donation to Mercy Malaysia

With the objective to support relief efforts resulting from the unprecedented impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mitrajaya has donated RM 3,000 to Mercy Malaysia's COVID-19 pandemic fund. The donation will be primarily directed towards the provision of personal protective equipment (PPE) for frontline healthcare workers and hospitals responding to COVID-19, alongside the provision of mental health and psychosocial support.

Bringing CNY Cheer to Welfare Home

Mitrajaya contributed some goody bags filled with Chinese New Year snacks and biscuits to Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Terencat Akal Malaysia, a welfare home for mentally challenged children in Petaling Jaya. Ang Pows were also distributed to the children along with a small cash donation to the welfare home contributed by the employees of Mitrajaya. With the Movement Control Order (MCO), we were unable to visit and spend time with the children there. However, we hope that this contribution can help to bring some festive cheer and joy to the welfare home.
